holiday destinations with children

Posting for traffic, I need your help please.

I have offered to take DDIL, her DH & my lovely DGC (12 and 4) for a week's villa holiday in June, but never having had young children (she was mid-teens when DH & I met), I have no idea of good destinations that suit families. DH and I usually spend June in Provence, and that's an option, but I'd appreciate any ideas for Spain or Greece. Our main criteria is a town/resort with lots of mid-upper price range restaurant choices and somewhere to potter round, as we will be staying on after they have left. Their main criteria is a pool, so they will be easily pleased.

anyway, my go-to place would be lanzarote. Have done this with my ex, his son and partner and their toddler and it worked well with something for everyone. There are some lovely restaurants in Playa Blanca and in Puerto Calero too which are very upmarket.

do you mean step daughter rather than daughter in law?

meant to add, I would go to Lake Garda.
