Bought an Iro leather jacket on eBay. Auction, no reserve. Described as excellent condition. When it came it has a rip in front near the underarm.

Bought it for 257 gbp, seller is offering a partial refund of 90 gbp.

Do I send it back?

Jacket costs around $1295 US new.

I’d send it back - you can’t easily repair leather jackets and it’s pretty noticeable.

What would you have paid for it if the rip had been shown in the photos and in the description?

If you wouldn't have bought it, send it back.
If you would have paid a much lower figure, suggest that.

Personally, I would send it back.

Send it back. If there is a dispute Ebay will find in your favour as the rip wasnt mentioned in the item description

GertNBert · 14/02/2018 09:05

Send it back. It will annoy you even if you get a very substantial refund.

I brought DD a leather jacket off eBay that had a rip, and some handbag wearing marks

I brought a repair kit for £8 and you can't see the rip and some leather dye £5 to cover the worn bits

The difference is I paid £5 for the jacket - great Wednesday afternoon bargain

So - I would take it to a repair shop and get their opinion on how it would look once repaired and the cost of the repair and see how you feel about it then

That's one expensive jacket
