WIBU to take my 4 and 5 year olds to this? Paddington is sold out, and the only other things on are Early Man which looks boring and Tad The Explorer which I have never heard of. I really want to see TGS but if it's not suitable for their age then I won't. (I know it's a PG) What I mean is, are the songs and dancing captivating enough to hold their attention?!

Early Man is brilliant.

Not sure, my daughter is older but has severe SEN so she’s into Disney/Pixar type films, with musical numbers. It was about 20 minutes too long for her I think but she was very focussed until that point.

LightDrizzle · 13/02/2018 09:27

What might be lacking is the humour, it’s spectacular but none of the comedy that children’s films always have.

Rewn7 · 13/02/2018 09:28

I think it would hold their interest. It’s very colourful and amazing.

I don't remember anything unsuitable in TGS, but I think kids that age would find a lot of it boring.

Early Man is by the same people who did Wallace and Gromit and Chicken Run, right? I'd give that a chance.

I took my 7 year old and it's the only film she's ever wanted to see again, it's a feast for the eyes. Beautiful.

BalloonSlayer · 13/02/2018 09:30

Can't imagine why it's a PG and not a U, there's nothing in it which would upset a small child.

I would worry more that they would not be interested as i'd think it too dull/grown up but my DC all adored it (albeit quite a bit older than yours).

ScarlettDarling · 13/02/2018 09:30

I loved it and my ten year old adored it. It's got nothing unsuitable in it and if they love music and dancing then they'll enjoy it.
