Do it

Deshasafraisy · 09/02/2018 23:06

Delicious but waking up to the house smelling of a deep fat fryer would be horrible. Can you order a takeaway?

GYMBALL · 09/02/2018 23:12

I didn't consider the smell ! The only takeaways still open around here are Chinese / Indian / pizzas or kebab , the chippy closes at 10!
I might have some oven chips in the freezer though

Go for it

Crispbutty · 09/02/2018 23:19

We do, and I don't even have the excuse of being pregnant!

AdoraBell · 09/02/2018 23:20

Just open a window while frying them, and crack on 😁

ToadOfSadness · 09/02/2018 23:22

Chinese chips are good (usually).

Bobbiepin · 09/02/2018 23:23

Go for it but make extra because the smell is going to wake your kids up and they're going to want some too!

CrispyWanton · 09/02/2018 23:32

Enjoy Smile

AjasLipstick · 09/02/2018 23:44

I can never understand people fussing about the smell of deep fat fryers. Most foods smell when cooking....curries etc.

The smell goes away if you clean up well and open windows. I don't have a DFF but I used to and I loved it. Might get another!

ShowMeTheElf · 09/02/2018 23:51

STOP!!! It's late. Do the oven chips instead. Really.

dustarr73 · 09/02/2018 23:55

You cant beat fried chips out of the fryer.Oven chips just wont do.Loads of vinegar and sliced bread wiht plenty of butter

GYMBALL · 10/02/2018 00:04

They were so good 😆 and no kids have woke up tempted by the smell ! The dog gave me the eyes though

Oven chips aren't even chips!
