Are the miserable because of the clothes?

I always assume the photographer’s direction for the models is “hunch your shoulders, look miserable and make these clothes look as unappealing as possible. Grin

Models clearly good at following instructions then thistlebell!

They may get more business if we could actually see the clothes worn with a normal posture.

Kitsharrington · 09/02/2018 18:52

What about Whistles’ models? They all look like they are just about to stop living through sheer lack of will to live.

fabulousfrumpyfeet · 09/02/2018 19:17

An alternative way of disguising unappealing clothes can be found on eBay, where people sell cheap.rubbish from China, stand the models in front of a giant fan so the clothes are blowing around in the pics and you can't tell what the clothes look like. Off to google whistles...

Crikey they appear to be in varying states of distress. There appears to be a correlation between price of clothes and misery of models. Primark should have an online shop with very happy models Grin

The thing is, I have a beautifully dressed friend who buys most of her clothes at Cos and she always looks wonderful.

So it’s not the clothes!

rebelrosie12 · 09/02/2018 21:39

I have a shit posture...maybe I should shop in cos and work It!

Crispbutty · 09/02/2018 21:42

Good grief there’s some horrific clothes on that cos siteConfused

I LOVE cos

The clothes hang perfectly

Crispbutty · 09/02/2018 21:48

Not on that model they don’t! They just .. hang... dreadfully

Elementally · 09/02/2018 21:49

I also love Cos. Such lovely quality. But agree the website is not the most uplifting of places. The shops on the other hand are I like. My toddler hid behind a mirror and shat her pants last time I was in she felt hat relaxed.

My favourite is when bloggers do multiple shots of an outfit and they're sitting down in all of them. You just know how unflattering the dress must have been.

BarbaraOcumbungles · 09/02/2018 21:56

I recon that if you looked, these trousers are being held up with bailer twine.

The model looks embarrassed Blush

I’ve seen better dressed bag ladies than that model

mirandasings · 09/02/2018 22:10

She looks like Jay from eastenders.
They could be brother and sister!

fabulousfrumpyfeet · 09/02/2018 22:12

Elementally, are you sure it wasn't a protest poo? Wink I keep going to their website because of people on here but I just can't seem to get past the awful presentation. I should see if their is a shop nearby. Are the sales assistants hunched and miserable?

OP posts:
fabulousfrumpyfeet · 09/02/2018 22:14

*there not their, before the grammar police pile in.

Crispbutty · 09/02/2018 22:37

It was right first time lol! 😁

confusednotcom2 · 09/02/2018 22:40

I love Cos but surprisingly most things look better off the models.

domesticslattern · 09/02/2018 22:43

The sales assistants are not hunched and miserable but surprisingly jolly in my small experience. They tend to be young and studenty looking and so would look good in anything frankly. Ah, youth.

Elementally · 09/02/2018 22:48

Yeah you might be right fabulous. She isn't much of a shopper.
