My partner's grown up son gave him cologne. I've always thought these things, scent and so on, are rather romantic gifts. I found it a little weird. My partner doesn't wear cologne, but his son asked him what he wears and so on.
Is it just me?

Yep it's you who has the strange views. I have a colleague who thinks only men should buy a woman jewellery that's weird too.

Just you. I have bought perfume for friends and family and once a tiny bottle for a leaving present as a colleague had always been complimentary about my perfume.

There's no such thing as a "romantic" gift. Romance is all about the lovely actions, not the gifts.
