Please help me find the name of this song :)

(Shamelessly posting for traffic Blush).

I know you’re all absolute ninjas when it comes to finding out names of songs and books with next to no information.

I’ve just heard a French song (it was sort of like dance-y, dreamy, house, ambient music - that’s the best way I can describe it) with lyrics that were quite hard to make out. It was either sung by a group or a solo singer - it sounded like a man’s voice.

The lyrics that I could make it were these: ‘le temps passe’, ‘je n’ai jamais cru’ and ‘jamais revenu’.

Could anyone help please? :)

The second one sounds most like what you've described.
InspMorse · 08/02/2018 19:12

Can you google the words and 'lyrics' - I've found a few songs this way.
Also, if it was on a radio station, go on their site and search for the programme's playlist.

Have you tired googling the words and then cross referencing them in YouTube?

WellAlwaysHaveParis · 08/02/2018 20:24

Thanks so much everyone. I’ve tried Googling the words then adding ‘lyrics’ and ‘paroles’, but I haven’t found the song yet unfortunately. I think it’s too recent to be Charles Aznavour. It’s more sort of trance-y and electronic-y.

Where did you hear it, in a shop, on radio, TV?

WellAlwaysHaveParis · 08/02/2018 20:55

Lascelles I heard it on someone’s personal Spotify account at work. It was playing on a speaker, but I didn’t know whose music it was.

LascellesMoustache · 08/02/2018 23:38

How big is your workplace? I think you need to find the owner of the playlist

ichifanny · 08/02/2018 23:49

JustKeepStumbling · 09/02/2018 00:38

Air?

Wingedharpy · 09/02/2018 01:16

Could it be Le temps passe, sung by Johnny Hallyday with Storm Bugsy, Doc Gyneco and Passi?

Taytotots · 09/02/2018 01:40

I thought it might be air but can't find one of theirs with those lyrics. Could it be this -m.youtube.com/watch?v=XKj__gEXgqw. (elephanz - je n'ais jamais)

QueenShitSandwich · 09/02/2018 01:46

Could it be PASCAL OBISPO – L'ÉCHAPPÉE BELLE ?

EllJ · 09/02/2018 02:07

Christine and the queens have some English/ French hybrid songs and are quite dreamy and Trancy. Worth taking a look at

BendyBusBuggy · 09/02/2018 02:31

Ca plane pour moi by plastic Bertrand?

Mupflup · 09/02/2018 06:49

My guess would be Air, Christine and the Queens, or possibly Nouvelle Vague. I'm not even sure NV are French but they do a lot of covers sometimes in different languages

WellAlwaysHaveParis · 09/02/2018 18:36

Thanks everyone for your suggestions!

It’s not Plastic Bertrand, Elephanz or Jonny Hallyday.

Whoops sorry. Posted too soon. It could be Christina and the Queens. I’ll have a look :)
