This deal any good?

Specifically I mean about the data- how slow is that speed after 9GB?

No idea about the data capping, but giffgaff topped the Which? list of suppliers. They piggyback on the O2 network. They're trying to increase their customer base, so on the PAYG (don't know about the goody bags) they give you a period (poss 3 months) free calls and texts to other giffgaff users every time you top up - very useful if, eg, your OH and DC are also on giffgaff.

fussychica · 08/02/2018 13:17

We all have GiffGaff, we find them excellent.

Snowysky20009 · 08/02/2018 13:21

Just bought this sim for ds2 seems good so far!

Shadow01 · 08/02/2018 13:22

I love giffgaff, it’s saved me £25 a month and I get a lot more for my money. I’ve never had any trouble with slow internet speed or signal.

Optimouse · 08/02/2018 13:27

Giffgaff is ace

TheChildrensPresenter · 08/02/2018 14:36

Wow I wasn't expecting such positive feedback tbh!

we use giffgaff and can recommend it. All of us have the £5 a month goody bag which includes a certain number of calls, texts and data and if the kids run out of minutes, as we are all giffgaff they can still call us and text us for free in an emergency.

Beamur · 08/02/2018 14:39

Friend of mine usesgiffgaff for her kids, no complaints.

letsdolunch321 · 08/02/2018 14:41

Yep 👍🏻 giffgaff all the way.

Been with them 5yrs, my kids are with them too.

£12.00 sees me through the month.

TenancyTroublesAgain · 08/02/2018 14:42

giffgaff is good, I currently have 3GB data and find it enough as WiFi access is widely available, is that the case for you?

TheSpottedZebra · 08/02/2018 14:42

I'm another giff gaff fan.
No idea on the data question though.

Glenscoconut · 08/02/2018 14:45

GiffGaff is excellent, never have a worry of a big phone bill which is great!

CandyYumYum · 08/02/2018 14:47

I use this offer and don't really notice a massive slow down after the 9GB. I listen to a lot of music on radio and youtube when I'm walking to work and there might be the odd pause but in general still pretty good.

WeeCheekyBird · 08/02/2018 14:50

Giffgaff are awesome and our whole family are with them now. Their goody bags are really good value as well.

Would recommend regardless 😁

Glenscoconut · 08/02/2018 14:51

Just a thought if you're worried the data might be slow after 9GB -
Three offer 100GB of data for £25 a month. Don't think they say anywhere about the speed slowing down after 9GB usage.

Coulddowithanap · 08/02/2018 14:51

I love giffgaff :)

Can't comment on how slow the data goes once you have used up 9gb as I have never used anywhere near that.

(Just wanted to add for those that don't know, you also get paid to use their forum! I only post on there a few times a month and sometimes earn up to £10 in payback a month - that gets paid twice a year as credit or PayPal!)

Roomba · 08/02/2018 14:52

I've used Giffgaff for at least 3 years and never had a single issue. I love them and recommend them to everyone. Now I've got my mum, dad, sister, sister's friend, my ex, my ex's wife and my best mate on giffgaff too, which is fab as I get free unlimited texts and calls to them even if I have no active goodybag. Used the data when roaming abroad in Spain, Portugal and France with no issues at all too.

TheChildrensPresenter · 08/02/2018 16:06

Wow this sounds great!
I use roughly around 20GB of data a month but I watch a lot of videos on my work breaks etc. so the data being slow was my main concern.
