To think people should be able to have braids

Braids have been part of so many cultures across the world for thousands of years. I find it sad that people can't wear them these days as it leads to calls cultural appropriation. They really don't belong to just one culture.

My neice had a fishbone style plat for netball and was even called out on that despite it just being for practical reasons.

Who "called her out" for the plaits at netball? Almost all the girls at dd's netball club year plait for matches. Dd also wears them for running as they are practical. I don't know anyone who has had a negative reaction from others.

It's ridiculous, next they will be saying that women can't wear dresses because that is what trans people wear.

It's pathetic and keeping the cultures apart. In fact quite racist!

No doubt some one will come along with evidence to say Europeans had braids first and then the whole argument will be reversed.
