AIBU to be upset about skintags

I bought a magnifying mirror recently because my eyesight has deteriorated too much to pluck my eyebrows (and it's impossible to do with my glasses on). And I noticed that I have about TEN skin tags on my neck!

I knew I had one or two, I could feel them, but didn't realise how bad they look. They are all in a cluster and look bloody awful.

How do I get rid of them? One is very sore, probably because I have been fiddling with them now I know they are there.

Is there a product or do I need to go tom a skin clinic?

Tie a bit of thread around them, tight enough but not so it hurts. Just leave it there and they'll dry up and fall off after a few days. My GP used to do it for me but I just do it myself now if I find any, unless in an awkward place.

Ten Shock you didn't see them with your glasses on? That must have been a shock!

See your GP. I'm pretty sure that's the best way to get them sorted. Not sure if it's covered by NHS though if it's cosmetic.

Cotton, its the quickest and easiest way.

Depending on their size, you can easily remove them yourself. I recently pulled one off. Others I've snipped with clean scissors. Another I tied off with clean thread. Easy-peasy.

You can get them removed on the NHS, as long as they are impacting you. I had one under my arm which was rubbing and kept bleeding, that was removed on the NHS.

On your neck, it might be something like catching them on a hairbrush, necklace, or collar of your clothing.

Ten? I wish I only had that many Sad I have hundreds of the little beggars from neck to waist. I do cut them off when they get big enough, but there is a long phase when you can see them, but can't get hold of them

Someone else here who just ties cotton around the ones that annoy me. Tie it tight - hurts a bit when you do it but soon stops hurting. They turn black and eventually drop off, leaving absolutely no sign they were ever there. Takes about a week.
