Lloyds Banking Group have banned the purchase of cryptocurrencies using credit cards. Good. If you have to use a credit card to buy bitcoin you can't afford to take the gamble.

But I use my credit card to by almost everything. Not because I can't afford it but because I get 1% cashback! I make money using my credit card and never pay interest.

It's a bit nanny state to be honest.

OP some people use the credit card as you can get cash back on purchases or air miles, I can certainly afford not to use my credit card but I like the air miles I earn (my credit card is paid off every single month in full)

I don’t agree with telling people what they can and can’t buy with their own credit card tbh

By definition, using a credit card means borrowing money from the bank, so it's entirely up to Lloyds to decide whether they want to ban their use for buying dodging on-line currencies.
