An Aldi customer who complained she found a rat in her frozen vegetables has prompted the store to withdraw up to 38,000 packets from its shelves.

The horse meat was on purpose. I'll take a stab in the dark this wasn't.

It's gross; but it happens on the rare occasion.

Many people ate horsemeat unknowingly. I suspect this one lady managed to avoid eating the rat.

Not worse imo.

Have they withdrawn the 38000 packets to try and find the other half

My guess is that it was in the vegetables or got in with them in the factory. Poor rat. I visit a lot of food processing factories, and they do take hygiene and food safety very seriously. But the realities of mass production is that there will be occasional issues like this.

They have offered her a large payout of £500 which she still doesnt feel is enough Shock
