Gin punch

AIBU in thinking that there must be a decent recipe somewhere for a gin based cocktail that I can put into a drinks dispenser with a tap?
Google isn't coming up with any ideas. It's for a hen party with 30 guests and I don't fancy making them individually so want to make a large batch for the dispenser.

I don't want one with a cranberry or orange base as I'm doing sex on the beach too x

What about a Singapore sling, thick is pineapple juice based?

Eminybob · 03/02/2018 12:33

*which is pineapple juice based

We did raspberry gin liqueur, pink lemonade and prosecco in a big dispenser for a BBQ last summer. Went down really well. Otherwise gin, elderflower cordial, lemon juice and soda works well in large quantities if you don't want anything too fruity.

SwearyG · 03/02/2018 12:36

I made this one for pre drinks at a gala dinner a few years back. It went down rather too well to be honest - I had to run out for more supplies to make more!

3 bottles of Gin
6 litres lemonade (4 in the original)
2 litres grapefruit juice
1/8 bottle of orange curacao
1/4 bottle brandy
Angostura bitters to taste
ice

This is delicious
Gin
BlackBerry liqueur or chambord
Lemon juice
Sugar syrop
Top up with soda water

All you need is

Gin
Blend/dice a cucumber
Add mint (or basil)
Add lime (or lemon or both)
Ice and fizzy water

Might be better in a jug than a dispenser because of the bits clogging the tap.

Nice clean gin like caorun,
Lots of cloudy apple juice
Mint leaves
Bit of soda water

@BarryTheKestrel
Thanks but I'm doing a pimp your prosecco stall too, I've also seen how lethal gin and prosecco mixed can be 🙈😂

@SwearyG , that sounds good. Could I use Cointreau instead of orange curacao?

Yes you can - to be honest you could probably leave it out if you’re pushed, it’s such a small part of the recipe.

I love that this recipe (provided by my vicar) starts with 3 bottles of gin. What could possibly go wrong with that? Grin

I shall bestow upon you the recipe for a gin cocktail made up on a gin class hen night years ago, and I remembered the recipe because it was so bloody good. If you don't have Old Tom anything will be fine but I found that works the best, you can get it off amazon. The syrup is also on there. Anyway....this makes one cocktail so adjust measures accordingly!

50ml of Haymans Old Tom and add to shaker. Then add 25ml of Cointreau, 25ml of Cardamom Syrup, and 50ml of Pink Grapefruit Juice. Add ice, shake for around 20 seconds and strain into a Martini Glass. Or for large quantities add ice to dispenser.

Lovely pink colour and a great mix of warm sweet from the cardamom and sour from the grapefruit. I know it's got orange from the cointreau but the syrup and grapefruit overpower that. It's also very potent! GinGrin
