To feel that I'll never be good at anything?

Just that really! Ive been in a professional sector for almost 14 years, qualified to highest level but really struggle in practice having had a 10 year period of working below a boss who wasnt supportive (bullying!) and therefore my practical experience and confidence suffered as a consequence. Please dont worry im not a doctor, think accountancy!
Anyway, where others are progressing through the ranks ive changed jobs and taken a demotion which in part is a lifestyle choice to fit around my DS. I cant help but feel like a failure because im not in a senior role given my years experience and high level qualification. I wonder if im just not right for this career but struggle to reflect on my strengths and where I would be successful. To be fair I do enjoy my job, I just constantly feel like I'm failing at it Sad.
Has anyone else had this type of dilema and how did you seek to find a role that suited you?

I just gave up on wanting it really. Not everyone can be a star at work or excel in their field. Statistically that is impossible - most people are average by definition.

And I dont think there is a "dream job/field" out there for everyone. If you enjoy your job and earn an ok wage, that's more than a lot of people have achieved at work.
