Not to get my sewing box out?

It's just been strongly suggested to me I need to stitch his sock right now - as it's brand new and he has caught it on my stair carpet (but thread bare +grippers threatening to show themselves!)
For the first time this school year ds9 has a friend for tea!! Quite possibly the last - can't stand the pressure Hmm.
Do I risk the wrath of a really nice (or is it a fake smile /jolly personality?) dm and send him home with a tiny click in his heel or shall I get my basket and hope I have the exact colour (would expect he would be standing over me checking tbh)?
Do I need to upgrade my home before any further invites go out??

No way! It's a sock for Petes sake! DM won't be bothered

Did you ask him to take his shoes off?

If you did I might then stitch it with the closest match I had.

Sounds like a charmer!

Stitch while he's wearing it and hope you don't slip with the needle. A recent play date here suggested we clean the fish tank as it was 'absolutely disgusting' ...

Just on hoping my temperamentally house trained ddog doesn't disgrace herself. Couldn't take the shame! Shock
Have double checked he is allowed on the Xbox as he has never played on one. Just on making tea though it isn't anything he announced would be an acceptable choice. Actually said sausages /etc would be acceptable!

I wouldn't bother. We had two boys for tea for my ds's 7th birthday and it was a disaster. One of them licked a piece of spaghetti and said eugh I don't like it (spaghetti that I'd already checked he liked), so I offered a cheese sandwich to which he said made him sick and said 'I suggest you make me a different one' erm I think not, you can eat at home. the other one said 'I like dogs but I don't like yours so lock it away!!' never ever happening again. They also ignored my DS for the whole time.
