CF on FB marketplace

Got lots of baby bits up for sale on Facebook marketplace at the moment, and most sales have gone really smoothly. They're all fairly expensive bits that I'm selling off really cheap, just to make space and get rid of them.

This morning though, I had a lady message me to see if something was still available. We went back and fore for ages, with her asking me all sorts of questions about the item, sizes, condition and where I was based, could it be posted etc etc. All of which was on the ad anyway, but never mind.
Then she says, is it free? I replied no, it's £5 (as it states on the bloody ad). Then she tells me she has no money, but really wants it, so 'really, if you're being fair, you'll give it to me for free!'

Er, no!
Yes, it's only £5 so I'm not out to make my fortune selling this stuff but still!

What?! Fair to whom?

Choosy beggar.

MoonlightKissed · 30/01/2018 11:10

I would reply:

"I have no money either, and really need the money, so really, if you're being fair, you'll buy it from me for a tenner"

ShastaTrinity · 30/01/2018 11:16

the cheek of some people is unbelievable Grin

I have seen people getting free stuff when offered to people who really needed them, who ended up selling them.

My sister had something similar with children's garden furniture, it's was pennies to what it cost. The
Woman asked could they deliver and would pay petrol, my sister wanted it gone and agreed.

The house was huge and a van sat on the path. When questioned about no transport, the woman said 'yeah, we couldn't be bothered collecting it!
