To ask him not to touch my car?

For the last month or so our neighbour has had a house guest. He's a young bloke and goes out on the weekend, comes home 3 sheets to the wind and generally is very disruptive till the early hours.

Saturday just gone I was woken at 1am to shouting outside, I looked out the window to see this bloke trampling all over the neighbours garden and singing/shouting loudly. Luckily he didn't wake the DC's and even though I was mighty pissed off I said nothing.

Next morning I woke to go to work to find that all the cars in our row of houses had our car window wipers messed with. Minor I know but I was so angry that someone had been onto our drive to do that to our two cars. After speaking to another neighbour the suspicion was that it was this neighbours house guest.

I approached the neighbour and asked her if it had something to do with him and her reply was dead pan "no idea". I asked if her car had been tampered with to which she said no so I said that it clearly was him then. She then laughed snottily and said "for gods sake milkshake it was only the wipers!" She then got in her car and drove off chuckling to herself.

AIBU to go round there and knock the door to speak to him and tell him ya not acceptable to be touching other people's cars even if it was just to put all the wipers up?!

I’d leave things for now - it’ll come back and bite her

But next time people are dancing on the flower beds at least film it... then if this becomes a problem you have evidence

Yes I will definitely film it if happens this weekend all thoughts I think I might shout out the window this time!

Is it just a one off?

I wouldn’t be bothered about this if it were me. At the very most I might feel my heckles raised but I think I’d just hurumph, put the wipers back down and move on with my life.

Not sure I'd be knocking the door of a young lad who clearly likes his booze / sounds a bit of a tit.

The touching the cars is the first time it's happened but the shouting, anti social behaviour has been going on every weekend for the past month.

I’d be more inclined to go round and ask him to stop the 1am shouting. Dick.

(Him, not you!!)
