Started to feel horrendously full of flu earlier this evening, told DH and says he's started to feel ill too. AIBU to think bugger off I'm ill I want pampering and time alone to be ill albeit it with toddler without him moaning and groaning too! You know I'll end having to suck it up because that's what we do!!

Yeah it's almost like it's psychosomatic and they feel they have to steal your thunder.

Hope you feel better soon!

I know how you feel. I do hope I'm better before either of my children get it because with earache joint pain and sickness I would really struggle. Can't wait for tomorrow when I get the school hours to feel shit all by myself.

I feel you pain. Yesterday I felt awful, dizziness etc with toddler in full flow. Told DH how I was feeling. Low and behold an hour later he's sitting holding his head in his hands feeling ill too. Noooo I want to dwell in my own sad little boy well island alone. I don't want to give you sympathy too

CompletelyUnknown · 28/01/2018 23:08

I meant give him sympathy too. OP you have my sympathy without question!

insomniac123 · 28/01/2018 23:15

Thank you all, hope you're all feeling better soon too. I thought I'd avoided this lurgy, but I have the feeling of tonsillitis is approaching too. He can't have that - that's my own illness!

Be strong. You were I'll first. He can't steal your thunder. Sniffle longest, cough loudest and go to bed first with a hot water bottle and assume the starfish position!!! No surrender Grin
