WIBU to stay in bed all day?

I have not been sleeping well and have woken up feeling properly miserable - constantly on the verge of tears for no apparent reason. Could be pmt I guess but right now I want to hide under the duvet all day and never come out. Sad

Make a pillow fort and stay in there, be kind to yourself. Unless someone is going to starve without you stay in bed as long as you want xxx hope you feel better soon xxx

Don't feel guilty, everyone needs a day off every now and then.
If you feel a bit more like it later on maybe try to pop your head outside for 5 minutes to get some fresh air, but otherwise chill out, drink tea and watch Netflix and be nice to yourself.

Pillow fort sounds amazing. DH has plans for the day and will be disappointed. But the way I feel I probably would not be much fun anyway. Gah. Why do I constantly feel like I’m letting people down? I work full time and feel like I’m constantly failing to get everything done on time for the kids like homework and reading books or spending quality time with them. And then when I’m at work I feel like I’m doing a crap job because I’m not putting the hours in at home that are needed. I think I need a pillow fort.

Truthfully tho you all prob feel better getting out for a walk or something! Hope u enjoy ur day whatever u do

DH took the kids out. I got up and walked to meet them but it’s a mistake - sat in outside in the car park alternating being cross at myself for being so stupid and crying. I’m firmly blaming stupid hormones. And the fact I should have stayed in bed.

Thanks for the suggestion though @saoirse31. Feel like it should have worked!

Go home and rest. If the kids are back in a bit they could join you in the pillow fort? Watch nice familiar comforting movies together? That is definitely quality time and I have fond memories of doing the same with my family.

I’m doing the same. I’m not doing well today (mentally) but being made to feel like I’m an awful person for it by DP.

Enjoy your fort.

Go home and go back to bed. It's the best of both worlds - you've been out so won't feel all sluggish and grubby and crawling back into bed for an afternoon nap when you're exhausted is absolute bliss.

It sounds like you really need it, so please don't feel guilty.
