Ok hands up v first world problem here.
We are on holiday with other couples. We arrived last night at the hotel, where we have been allocated a room which the hotel staff claim is an upgrade.
I think it seems like a downgrade
The room I was expecting should have had a balcony this one has an outside bit but not what we had in mind.
Also the room was described as having a separate shower and bathtub but this bathroom is actually fully equipped for a person with a disability so no bath.
Also two small doubles rather than a king size
Looking at the hotel website it seems as if this room would be a couple of quid more but mainly because it’s in the “old” part of the hotel rather than the less prestigious new.
I really rather new on the whole (I’m a philistine I know)
Btw we are only here for three nights before moving on
Unsure whether to ask to be moved don’t want to create any bad feeling with our friends, they are v happy with the room they were allocated. And fussing now could delay us getting out and about I imagine whilst we move rooms
Am I a spoilt brat?.

You are not spoiled. You want what you want and you are paying for it. I would ask to move immediately.

I would not stay in a room that did not meet my expectations. Ask to be moved to another room now.
Its nice your friends are happy but your not.
