It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a woman in possession of half a brain, must be in want of someone to make the sandwiches.

It is the single worst job, I hate doing it. Yet 5 days out of 7 I do it. I am not working atm because of health reasons, hopefully will be improved by this time next year, so I do all of the householdy jobs, school runs etc.

However tomorrow is all day rehearsals for the school production and as it is extra curricular that they chose, I said that they can make their own sarnies. The kids are fine with it but my mother is horrified! Surely it is my job?

No it fucking isnt, I only do it because I am not currently working and as soon as I am they can all make their own! And I do all the stuff during the week and consider Sunday as much my day off as it is anyone elses.

Nope. I hate the idea that it is anyone's job to do anything based on a characteristic. My dm is/was a SAHM and we always made our own sandwiches and would help with making tea. She's 56. Independence is great. Not being unreasonable
