To post in support of Ryanair

Ryanair is getting a bit of a bashing on MN atm. They recently changed their baggage policy but it is totally fair. Yes, there are plenty of added extras and the price you pay is not that advertised. This is the same for all low cost airlines though and I find them to be consistently cheaper and consistently no nonsense good value

I feel sorry for the folk stung last year but this is not about that and the majority of people get a decent service for the money paid

Go Ryanair. If you don't like them, vote with your feet. Don't use them and then bellyache how you get ripped off because you do not. Their website is easy to use and totally clear.

Agree. It has revolutionised travel between Britain and Ireland since the 1980s, making it possible for emigrants to come home much more regularly than before.

Absolutely agree. Travel between the UK and Ireland used to be so expensive. Ryanair changed that. Not to mention opening so many more routes throughout Europe. The rules are clear and straightforward. I've been using them for years and never had a problem. As the OP says, if you don't like them don't use them.

They are ok until they screw you over and if you travel with them enough they will! I was also a fan until recently, but no more Ryanair for me!

We use Ryanair a lot of much prefer the new baggage policy. Also, both me and a family member have had emergency health issues on Ryanair (one resulting in an emergency landing) and both times they were handled extremely professionally and staff showed great care.

Love Ryanair. Cheap. Short flights. Easy to use and I’m ve changed their policy because the case wankers were annoying. I can get to and from Ireland for buttons

If you don’t like them, use someone else.

On the other thread I said it used to cost me a month's salary and 3 planes to get home. What's not to like?

All the whining about RA is akin to people buying economy burgers then whining that they're different to the organic fillet steak they'd prefer.
