i am very prone to thrush but i am at the moment in agony ive been poorly like everyone with a heavy cold chest infection etc i cant stop coughing and everytime i do its like niagra falls as i wet myself now i have this flamin thrush its been going on a week i had a oral thrush pill didnt touch it left it four days tried a pessary and cream im red raw inside and out side i tried a salt bath earlier no help last time i went to dr he sent me to GUM clinic which is ok but a lot of trouble and all they said was its thrush dr should have sorted it! i realise its weekend but can anyone help me before i go crazy OH is away tonight so im going to stick a load of natural yoghurt on my lady garden and sleep on a towel

Natural yoghurt won’t work and chances are that it isn’t thrush but BV which is even more common than thrush apparently (why has no one heard of it then?!) which needs to be treated differently.

And is incontinence usually a problem for you? Ask for a referral to a specialist physio maybe?

OH would go to chemist for me but what could i have that i have not got already? normally btw i can control my bladder but this cough is so bad im sure this is thrush because of the antibiotics i had to take for my chest infection usually follows i just feel really miserable at the moment

I remember having it baaaad from the antibiotics I was on whilst I had a chest infection. Literally nothing would help other that a shit tonne of canesten and a warm bath a few times a day. Hope it goes away for you asap OP

Oh I forgot to add, if you're prone to thrush etc Actimel are great and you can also buy PH balancing pessaries from Amazon. My Df has bv and she find these things a godsend
