To wonder what you're doing today

It's a miserable day here, wet and dark...Ive been stuck in the house with DS (aged 3) and I'm going a bit crazy. I've done the washing, cleaning and a bit of playing with him but feel bad I wasn't motivated to do more and get us out. What does everyone do on days like these?

I have had the same day as you. DS is also 3 and we have had a day in.

We have made and painted paper dolls (been reading Paper Dolls by Julia Donaldson which inspired us)

DS helped me cook lunch and wash up.

Played with playmobile for a bit

Watched a movie

DS is currently playing a phonics game on the tablet while I muck about on my phone.

Dh is going to be home soon thank god I’m also going stir crazy!

Arts and crafts!

Get thee to Hobbycraft and start an art bin. Paint, glue, paper, card, googly eyes... Save all your loo roll middles and egg boxes and make giant termites and spiders and robots or anything you like.

My son loves Fimo (bit expensive but recently found some online for 69p!). He makes models and we bake them in the oven. I love Superclay, air dries spongy, and we make book and TV characters.

Weighing, sorting, pouring, measuring... mixing colours with food colouring in water, make popcorn, cookies, cupcakes, pizza bites...

Get him cleaning! He's old enough to wash up non sharp items or load the dishwasher.
