AIBU to gloat a little bit

My younger sister is a photographer. She gave "mates rates" on a couple of occasions to my ILs, once for a Christening and once some portraits of SIL's children. Very kind of her.

I fell out with MIL over a year ago. Life is better without her and I have no wish to rekindle a relationship.

OSIL's eldest is getting married. MIL and SIL are moaning on facebook about photographers, asking for recommendations and then exclaiming they are too expensive.

I just KNOW that if we were speaking that they would ask if my sister would do it, or I, with permission from sis, would have offered.

But no. I'm just sitting here smugly. They can afford it, they just don't want to, probably because they remember the cheap rates...

Not unreasonable at all, enjoy the glow of the gloat.

Megs4x3 · 27/01/2018 12:39

I'm with you onthis one. :-) Karma and all that.

MsGameandWatching · 27/01/2018 12:40

Get ready for them to try and make up with you.

Weezol · 27/01/2018 12:43

I wonder if they're moaning in the hope you will get in touch and offer to sort out mates rates again? Bless.

hellomonster · 27/01/2018 12:43

oooh hadn't thought of them trying to make up. They wouldn't be so brazen... would they?!

OP posts:
hellomonster · 27/01/2018 12:46

Could be weezol. But I'm not going to!

MsGameandWatching · 27/01/2018 12:47

You'd be surprised...

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 27/01/2018 12:49

Wouldnthey be brazen enough to go around you and speak directly to your sister? Would she do it?

hellomonster · 27/01/2018 12:56

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree She lives too far away. She wouldn't normally work in my area. She'd say no anyway.

Why are you watching them on Facebook?

ilovesooty · 27/01/2018 13:00

So life is better without her. Can't think why you're so interested in her life then.

Aridane · 27/01/2018 13:09

You sound a tad over invested

greekyoghurt · 27/01/2018 13:11

“My life is so much better without them.”
facebook stalks them and makes a post on mn about them

Ok..

PoorYorick · 27/01/2018 13:19

Why are you in FB contact if you're not speaking? Being able to see their posts is contact...

MsGameandWatching · 27/01/2018 13:51

Why is so much of MN so nauseatingly sanctimonious these days?

Don't defend it OP, most people like to have a little nose about what others are up to even if they won't admit it on here Wink

DingDongDenny · 27/01/2018 14:45

I'm with MsGame There is a big difference between a wee stalk on Facebook and having to spend time with people. I bet there isn't a poster on here who hasn't done the same

ChelleDawg2020 · 27/01/2018 14:46

Enjoy your gloating, I hope it does you good.

hellomonster · 27/01/2018 15:02

"Over invested" lol!

I'm not embarrassed by looking. It's facebook, not peering through their windows or tapping their phones! I love looking! Grin
