To think Lego boxes need a re-think?

I've come to terms with the fact that the box is always far bigger than the bricks it contains, but if they're going to do that, why not at least make the box the right shape to contain the finished article?

Or make it like a jigsaw box so that it will store the pieces properly once it has been opened.

Because that would make lego even more expensive. And I would have to have 40 odd box's kept

Why would it make it more expensive? Cardboard boxes are very cheap to make and the boxes are big enough already, they're just the wrong shape.

I want them to go back to the old design from the 80s where you opened the top flap which had pictures of what you could make, and had a plastic tray for sorting all the bricks into.

I like the idea of the jigsaw style boxes. That would be really usedul
