AIBU to not know what to do now (DC sleeping)

It's 7.57 on a Saturday morning, the food shopping has been delivered already (early!), DH won't be home until later this afternoon and my children are still asleep....for the first time ever at a weekend. I've been up since 6.30, had a nice quiet coffee by myself and now I just feel at a loss. I am currently sat on the landing outside DC room staring because I can't believe they're still sleeping. They have to wake at 5.45 on week days so sleeping beyond 6.45/7 at weekends has never happened.

What do I do to savour this time before they inevitably wake up in 3 minutes time and disturb the peace?!

I'd go outside in the garden and breathe in that lovely fresh early air. Then I'd come in and read a book until they woke up.

Get a hold of yourself woman. Focus...what task will you be unable to achieve once DC are aware and set to! Quick!

I need this advice!
Eat the hidden chocolate?

My eldest is still asleep so I’m watching The Fall with a napping baby on me (he’s been up for so long he’s already napping)

Bluelady · 27/01/2018 08:04

Nice long undisturbed bath?

Jenala · 27/01/2018 08:04

I'd read my book or try and watch something on TV. I have about 6 series recorded that I've still not had the chance to watch because bloody Go Jetters is on if the tv is on.

RitaMills · 27/01/2018 08:08

Definitely catch up on TV before it’s taken over with YouTube and bloody DanTDM or whatever he’s called. 😫

What sort of things did you do before they were born.

BillywilliamV · 27/01/2018 08:12

This is my favourite moment of the week. I normally eat toast and read yesterday's paper snagged from reception at work as I left last night. Then I go to the gym/ go for a run.

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 27/01/2018 08:14

MN? 😆

BillywilliamV · 27/01/2018 08:14

But this morning I am on MumsnetSmile

Jenala Go Jetters is always on here, I sing it in my sleep.

I've decided to have a 'long' hot shower and if I come out to them still sleeping I will be convinced we've landed in a parallel dimension. Watching something I want to watch on TV will send a special force to their bedroom and rouse them. Not risking it (they have a superpower).

Vitalogy I was 19 when my first was born.... I don't think I knew what Saturday mornings were then!
