Why does CBeebies do this?

Am off poorly and spending too much time letting the smallest one watch telly.

My question is; why do they get TV stars to voice their programmes? DD doesn't care that eamon Holmes is voicing biggleton, or Kathy Burke is voicing that monster thing. It seems every program has a Celeb voicing it. I can think of loads more. I even think I heard Christopher Biggins being the Crab in Duggee.

Surely this costs a shit ton of licence payers money . THE KIDS DON'T CARE AND NEITHER DO I.

Booking studio time and engineers for voiceovers and pickups is really expensive.

It can be much more cost effective using someone who is experienced and captures everything in one or two takes than spending day after frustrating day cooped up in a studio with someone less experienced.
