Bloody Mary?

Never tried one, can't imagine it's nice? Looks and sounds utterly revolting, cold tomato juice with herbs and celery?

AIBU?

I prefer V8. Looks like tomato juice, tastes even better. L&P, yup; not fussy over the celery.

There's a place here in Cincinnati that serves this. It's a bloody Mary "garnished" with a slider and a chicken wing among other things.

Oh and Mexico I've had the dubious pleasure of a Mexican Bloody Mary (Michelada?)in which Mexican lager is substituted for vodka and it's mixed with either clamato (yuck) or tomato juice. It wasn't half as bad as I was expecting actually...

It's lovely - especially with enough L&P to burn your throat.

I'm not keen on tomato juice by itself, but add vodka and all the other flavourings and it's a completely different story.

One of my very favourite drinks - I love them. Clearly having a bit of a 'Marmite' effect here though.

I love a bloody mary, not had one for ages though. I like tomato juice though in general so I suppose that helps! I've not had tomato juice for ages either and I really fancy one now....do they sell it in Aldi?

I'm not keen on tomato juice on its own but I bloody love bloody Marys. Spicier the better for me.

In Florida last year I ordered one and the bar tender said "We make our Bloody Marys with clamato juice." Cue a horrified expression from me. Yes, it's tomato juice with clam juice in

DH and I will drink a Bloody Mary as a shot with a freshly shucked oyster in it. Really lovely.

I love a Virgin Mary with a little horseradish and lemon plus the Tabasco and Worcester sauce. Shaken well over ice with a celery sticks. I even add some hot peri peri as I love it having a good kick. I know this many ingredients may be sacrilege but it works for me!

It's the only thing that's kept me going this Dry January...

I HATE tomatoes, I HATE clams, I HATE celery, I HATE vodka and I HATE olives.

All the above being said, I absolutely love a spicy bloody mary or caesar. I don't know why, I can't explain it. I only ever drink them when I'm proper hungover, and the combination of the spice, vodka and the tomato juice (which kind of tastes like soup), hits the spot.

Seriously, never have I had a combination of all the things I loathe to eat/drink in one place, yet enjoyed the end result of blending them all together.

Most odd. It's basically cold alcoholic tomato soup. I love it.

Aldi sell tomato juice.

I used to love Bloody Caesars. I haven't had one in ages.
