So AIBU and pfb to complain about this?

I bought a some baby bath toys from amazon. They have arrived and absolutely REEK of cannabis. As in my DH came home from work and asked why our flat smelt of cannabis.

I'm not anti cannabis and I'm sure I could wash out the smell, but it's not ok is it? Especially on a babies toy?!

Please tell me if IABU before I call amazon to complain!

Were they sold by Amazon itself or through Amazon Marketplace?

Amazon are really good at sorting out customer services. Definitely complain or at least bring it to their attention.

Were they new and packaged?

If they were, as above, new and packaged then I'd say it was just the manufacturing smell or the plastic.

I don't think you'd BU for that.

I'm not a cannabis expert - it might be the plastic smell? It reminds me and DH an awful lot of cannabis! It's bad though! I definitely won't be giving it to my baby!! She puts everything in her mouth!

Some things from abroad have ‘a smell’ - I used to love getting packages from my sister in the states because of the distinctive smell.

Sold by amazon and it was packaged.

Bought wellies and was convinced they'd been used to smuggle cannabis. Went back to different branch of shop and sniffed and they were all the same.

It's totally overpowering. I was terrified we would be pulled over by the police randomly when dc was wearing them in car. We'd have been searched for sure.

Sometimes when i buy a new bath mat it smells like that. If they're new it's not cannabis.

Got to say, I bought a heavily textured bath mat for DS with autism to rub his hands on, from Flying Tiger and it really reeks of weed.

It could just be the rubber.
