I am currently trying to loose a small amount of weight. I've been eating better and exercising since 1st Jan. My starting point was 9st 9lbs, but a few days ago I was 9st4; last night I was 9st8; this morning I'm 9st1. It's the same scales. I know weight can change a bit over the course of the day but by 7lbs?

Thats why its pointless weighing yourself so often

WeirdCatLady · 25/01/2018 10:20

You are always at your lightest first thing in the morning. Due to water retention etc your weight fluctuates Day to day, which is why you need to pick a day and time and just weigh yourself once a week.

Just weigh in once a week

HazelBite · 25/01/2018 10:24

Be guided by how tight /loose a particular item of clothing is on you and only weigh yourself once a week/every two weeks, same time of day wearing the same or similar clothes.
