Anyone else have haunted household appliances?

My DH's playstation has a mysterious habit of turning itself on, loading up Assassins Creed and the controller leaps into his hands. Very curious.

The coffee machine also whirrs into life all by itself at odd times, making delicious drinks which then pour themselves down my throat. Most strange.

Anybody else suffering with possessed items? Would an exorcism sort it out or shall I just burn the house to the ground and flee whilst I still can?

Yes. My radio waits till I have turned it off then slowly turns itself back on again.

Only during R4 drama. I think it is a BBC conspiracy.

The central heating sneakily turns itself on when someone else in the house turns it off. Hmmm

Yes, my fridge is haunted - I regularly find M&S cream cakes appearing from nowhere, which unfortunately means I then have to force them into my mouth quickly before they go off... 😉

No but my tumble drier is a bastard.

DD had one of those bounce & spin Zebras as a toddler. It used to start up on its own & scare the shit out of us so I took the batteries out, 2 nights later........ it went off in the middle of the night. Took it straight to the tip I'm convinced it was possessed.

We also had a doorbell that used to ring at 8:15 every other evening.

Maybe we're just a bit woo

Not an appliance, but there's definitely a gremlin living down the back of the cutlery drawer. He/she/it turns knives into forks, and hides my favourite chopping knife.

That must be what I have sparkythecat never thought of a gremlin 😂😂

I have the cutlery drawer gremlin too... he has also made off with one of my plates

Few years ago a friend’s kettle/kitchen light used to turn themselves on and off- she swore she had a ghost in that kitchen, which I took with a pinch of salt until the cork from a wine bottle flew through the air in front of my eyes.

Our cuisnart coffee machine has an ethereal girls wail.....seriously it’s odd.

Not scary, but very strange, and definitely female 😀
