We live in a house converted into six flats. The two that share my hallway are currently empty and the landlords family and mates are doing work on them.
I am massively losing my shit. It is their house but my home and I have been here 12 years.
Firstly they are doing all the work with the flat door open for no reason that I can see so the drilling, banging, loud music on the radio is amplified, they are smoking (and when the man is here alone it smells like he is smoking bloody weed) and my flat stinks of both cig smoke and this. I work from home so can't escape it and it's too cold to have the windows open.
The mess they are leaving is awful, I try and keep the hallway nice so the kids are not embarrassed when their friends come. They are leaving all their mess and bits and broken screws and rubbish were it falls. They have tread mud in massively all across the hall, they have spilt paint on my landing and left it, three times they have filled my recycle bin with the wrong rubbish and I've had to empty it.
They are also turning my landing light on which I pay electric for and leaving it on all day and then leaving at 6pm and leaving it on when they leave.
They are just treating it with no respect at all. The landlord doesn't live in the UK and doesn't give a crap anyway as I've heard him on the speaking phone telling them to fix stuff by doing short cuts that will need fixing in weeks.
I've had a week of this already and am totally fed up.
