I've decided I need to look after myself a bit better and have lots of body butters to use up, but as the title says, how do you care for the skin on your back? I'm quite flexible but it's still a bit of a weird dance to reach!

I can reach luckily! No idea if you can't -my gran uses a little pad (like a loofah) on a stick to do her feet as she can't bend...maybe something like that? Its flannel like material and she washes after each use and replaces with a new one.

Chchchchangeabout · 23/01/2018 18:24

I don't!

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 23/01/2018 18:26

I don’t

SaucyJack · 23/01/2018 18:28

I don't!

Backs are one of the oilier parts of the body. It's unlikely to benefit from moisturising.

Oysterbabe · 23/01/2018 18:31

I don't. Or my front.

elephantsandhearts · 23/01/2018 18:32

A spray oil Smile

HighwayDragon1 · 23/01/2018 18:33

I just do my elbows, kneesand shin's. I thought this is what everyone did, who has time to rub cream on their back?

Lulusmother · 23/01/2018 18:33

I have this issue with fake tanning so I bought something off Amazon which is a pad on a long arm. I’ll try to find the link!

DemolitionLover · 23/01/2018 18:34

Ummm I don't Confused.

WillowySnicket · 23/01/2018 18:35

I've been wondering this. I have insane dry itchy pregnancy skin at the moment. I've found oil in bath water does the trick.

Moregilmoregirls · 23/01/2018 18:35

You could use a spatula or a wooden spoon

Notasperfectasallothermners · 23/01/2018 18:35

Dh does mine!! Grin

etap · 23/01/2018 18:36

Ask me nicely ;)

Smellyoulateralligater · 23/01/2018 18:38

I moisturise my back as I get rough skin if I don’t. I do the weird dance thing too. It’s a two arm job

MarmaladeIsMyJam · 23/01/2018 18:39

I put the cream on the back of my hand, I can reach everywhere pretty easily.
Highway you must have been blessed with decent skin! it takes me about 90 seconds to do my full body.

Didntcomeheretofuckspiders · 23/01/2018 18:40

Sometimes if I get an unusually dry spell of skin and I feel like I’m not quite reaching all the areas, I smear it on and then use a towel that has already been used a couple of times and could do with a wash anyway to spread it around. You know on that kind of exaggerated drying way? But i’m Probably really gross and I’m sure someone will tell me how unhygienic that is Wink

Chocolatesprinkledcrumpet · 23/01/2018 18:48

I use a very good device called DH Grin

ferociousindependentandsquishy · 23/01/2018 19:05

I'm so glad it's not just me. I was in the "don't" camp before, but I had a massage a few weeks ago and my skin felt so soft from the oils, it made me want to try to reach to look after it

OP posts:
ClaryFray · 23/01/2018 19:06

DF does it.

JazzHandsJack · 23/01/2018 19:11

I have a spa exfoliation once a year, but other than that, it’s filed under ‘life’s too short’ .

Parker231 · 23/01/2018 19:14

DH does it and I have a massage each month and they use loads of product.

NotCornflakes · 23/01/2018 19:15

I was wondering this just yesterday! I resorted to a lot of wiggling and contortion and I still missed bits!

RaininSummer · 23/01/2018 19:18

My back itches like mad if I don't but it seems easy enough. I approach from the side and then from the top and bottom and seem to get it all.

SilverySurfer · 23/01/2018 19:19

I have to cream my legs regularly but can't reach lower calves/feet so squirt cream on a paint roller with a longish handle which works well. You could try that.
