Council traffic warden

I think I just did something daft and now I'm a bit worried.

Stopped on a single yellow line to answer a phone call I hadn't been expecting when Council traffic warden appears at window.

Phone was on speaker by that point and I've just driven off, waving to acknowledge him, as he was probably about to try and move me on.

Bit worried now that if he was miffed he might issue a postal fine for parking and talking on the phone.

Am I being silly, or have I actually properly done the wrong thing?

Can they do that? I thought they had to have started issuing the ticket before the car is moved. But that may not be legally right; I'd have a quick google and hopefully it will set your mind at rest, OP!

I can't find anything on internet to say definitively. Surely they have better things to do, although granted, I know I shouldn't have been on the phone. Feel so stupid now!
