Birthday cards

So my DH hates birthday cards, Christmas cards etc so I don't usually get him one. Since we've had kids though I do get him one from them.
Today is my birthday and although I didn't expect a present as money is very tight right now I kind of would have liked a card, but I got nothing! Just a happy birthday and a peck on the cheek. 😩

It's pretty tight, we have a new baby and I'm on maternity leave, we could stretch to a box of chocolates though!

But maybe he doesn't want me getting any fatter 😂

I think he just think because he doesn't care about cards and presents then other people don't, I'm always having to get his families birthday cards and send them as he just doesn't do it.

I hate birthday cards and Christmas cards. I'd much rather I didn't receive them. I still buy them for family and friends though, as I'm aware they're enjoyed by others.
Your DH has been thoughtless. Hopefully he'll come up trumps with the chocs later. Happy Birthday! Cake Flowers

My Oh did this, I called him out on it as I felt it was pretty rubbish. Just tell him!

Happy Birthday OP, yanbu

Happy birthday! I'm your birthday twin : ) I had to remind DH to wish me a happy birthday this morning. In 17 years together, he has never done in unprompted.

My children - late teens, early 20s - still make their own birthday cards for family members, though DS1 has taken to making very witty photo collages on his iPad and sending them on. This started when they were little and has just continued. They've all got a very dry sense of humour, so their cards are always very funny and well received. Perhaps you need a pile of card and felt tip pens strategically placed for your DH and DC to quickly access.

Happy birthday Notapuffin!

Since I posted this he has bought be some flowers,he must have sensed my dissatisfaction.
Now I'm gonna sound awful but I'm not a flowers person and he knows this! I hate it when they die, makes me feel like I didn't look after them.
I know it's the thought that counts though! 😂
