Anyone else still doing bitcoin?

Can't find the other thread but I'm curious as to whether people still believe in the profits to be made from bitcoin?

Late last year I was making so much on that bloody thing that it was like another full time wage coming in. We worked it out it was the equivalent to a salary of £26k pa.

Since Christmas it all went downhill. I lost £300. DH lost a thousand pound. I now have £2k stuck in bitcoin that I can't get rid of. I ploughed another £260 into it and turned that into £400 with short trading but now that's stuck too as the bloody price dive bombed again.

It's all gone tits up!! Anyone else still believe in it? I'm starting to think the good times with bitcoin are over?

Me - just hold and bitcoin will start to rise again. Don't panic sell! :)

DP just chucked in £600.

Think it's now worth about £300!!

Isn’t what you’re doing essentially gambling? I wouldn’t trust bitcoin even a tiny bit.

It's just another bubble. I'm always fascinated as to why so many people think they've discovered some secret to effortless, instant riches. Like every other bubble, there will be more losers than winners.

I don’t understand it enough to even try it. I could read up on it but I’m always so broke it seems pointless lol
Love hearing that some people can generally make extra cash on it, though it seems you need the money to be able to make it.

Genuinely*

It's crashed spectacularly as I warned it would. If you search 'Bitcoin dabble' it should come up. It's in AIBU. I am sorry for people who lost money in this scam. But if it wasn't a big amount and they learnt their lesson then that's something. For every £1 gained for somebody it's £1 loss for somebody else. The Bitcoin enthusiasts won't admit that though. As long as they're the ones gaining and the other folk are the ones losing.
