Not in a weird way. But for the first time in goodness knows how long I have a night to myself. I washed my hair, used Clinique skincare, had a quick tidy, and now I’m just curled up on MN with a glass of wine and some chocolates, in silence which is absolute bliss. Toying with the idea of a VERY early night, partly as I probably need it and partly because I can’t think of what else to do!
Someone inspire me. This probably isn’t going to happen again until at least 2020 I want to make the most of it!!!

I try on all my lovely shoes. The ones I never get to wear out Sad

DwangelaForever · 21/01/2018 21:55

Tea, chocolate and a good book 😍 with candles!

KatyaZamolodchikova · 21/01/2018 21:58

Listen to the Les Mis sound track, loudly, and sing along while knitting and drinking coffee.

It makes me very happy.

ManchesterGin · 21/01/2018 22:04

Tonight I've watched a film and had a gin. Oh and put my online food shopping away.

I only had about 2.5 hours though. Still a rare treat.

restingbemusedface · 21/01/2018 22:08

I read and nap and watch TV. However it’s 10pm - I wouldn’t consider that a very early night! That’s bedtime Blush

WeeM · 21/01/2018 22:08

Have a bubble bath with candles and wine, then watch a chick flick on the iPad in bed. Something that you’ve seen a million times so you can still fart about on MN at the same time and nod off if the mood takes you...I’m jealous!!

Squeegle · 21/01/2018 22:09

I agree, 10pm is bedtime on Sunday, what time would you normally go OP?

Winosaurus · 21/01/2018 22:10

Masturbate and cry

Flipflopflipflap · 21/01/2018 22:11

1130? I would start tidying around at ten, and then shower etc. But I think I’m ready for bed 🛏

Read & listen to Baroque music Blush

Hidingtonothing · 21/01/2018 22:13

I would lose hours youtubing songs and playing CD's from my misspent youth, that's pretty much what I always do with (extremely rare) time alone Blush

PrivateParkin · 21/01/2018 22:13

I'd probably make myself a lovely risotto, because no other bugger in this house likes rice and I love it. Then I'd pour a big glass of red wine and eat my risk sitting on the couch, watching an old episode of Midsomer Murders, or a film like Casablanca or Sleepless in Seattle. Those nights are rare though!

ThePinkPanter · 21/01/2018 22:14

I had today to myself so I did housework for a bit then watched some of my Netflix series, read, walked the dogs and had a nice shower.

Squeegle · 21/01/2018 22:20

I love a bit of midsummer murders when I’m on my own. Something quite comforting although unsettling about it

SellMySoulForSomeSleep · 21/01/2018 22:25

Watch trashy tv and eat without having to share.

Slanetylor · 21/01/2018 22:31

Oh I'd plan to do some grooming and read something worthy. But for sure, it would be trashy tv and trashy food.

OurMiracle1106 · 21/01/2018 22:33

Long hot candle lit bubble bath with a glass of wine
A nice cooked dinner.
Curl up in bed with a book or decent film
Go gym.

(I flatshare so it’s very very rare to be home alone). Xmas was bliss because it’s the first time in about 2 years that I did have house to myself

Argeles · 21/01/2018 22:42

The last time I was properly on my own in my house was in October last year. I had about 1.5 hours to myself, as my DH took my DD to the supermarket.

I played trance music very loudly on Alexa (think Ministry of Sound trance anthems from the late 90’s & early 2000’s) whilst I had a shower. I then took my time applying body lotion (my skin must’ve rejoiced!), and perfume, make up and clothes.

I prepared the dinner, whilst reminiscing on my teenage years thanks to the music I was listening to. I then sat down in the sitting room with crisps and a drink and had got excitable thanks to the music, so started shouting obscenities at Alexa and laughing really hard at my immaturity and her responses.

I then began to watch Strictly and ate far too many crisps, before DH and DD returned to find their ‘sensible wife and mummy,’ who had managed to shower and get ready, prepare dinner and have a little rest whilst they’d been out.
