To ask about DH's grumpyness levels....

Soooo I think my DH is probably excessively grumpy...but as I've never lived with anyone else I can't be sure!!
There will be at least one incident of snapping/getting cross everyday!
For example today he was cross I hadn't washed up the pan I used to boil some eggs (i had loaded the dishwasher and put it on and was waiting until that had finished to then reload)
And also that the house was too hot...it isn't but he'd just come back from the gym...he started saying he was going to open the window...er it's snowing outside!!
Every day there will be similar gripes and groans... so is this normal? I just want a nice, happy home....

It really doesn't matter if it's normal, if it gets you down it just does.

I had to leave my grumpy ex, it was no way to live. I have a happy home now. No heartsink every day.

How old is he? The grumpiness seems to increase with age. My DP suffers with depression and moans about everything . He also has horrific mood swings. I know how you feel !

I can be a grumpy arse especially when I'm tired, but every day? Nope, that is excessive.

I couldn't live in a home where I had to tread carefully over every minute decision in case it upsets his Lordship.

Could it be tiredness or an undiagnosed mental health issue? YANBU to be concerned.

Eliza9917 · 21/01/2018 16:23

Is he stressed about something?

freddiemercury · 21/01/2018 17:31

He's 46....not stressed and no mental.health issues. He just seems to find family life (we have two boys 11 and 8) and me irritating if i had to guess the reason. My 11 year old will even say he needs anger management...he is semi joking...but many a true word spoken in jest..!!
