To not do ironing?

I deliberately don't buy clothes that need ironing because my Mum rarely ironed and was very keen on not ironing. My DH has a job that requires him to wear a shirt and tie and he irons those himself (I wash them and hang them up). AIBU to not really want to learn how to iron?Hmm

It's handy to know how to iron, just in case you need to for whatever reason. But, I can iron, I just choose not to. That will change when the DC wear school shirts, but that's a few years' off yet!

It's really up to you isn't it?

I don't think I've ironed for about a year. And if something urgently needs ironing I get the hairdryer on it or use a pair of hair straighteners Blush

I think there might be an iron in my house somewhere, not completely sure, I can't remember what it looks like!! Life's too short ;)

I haven’t ironed anything in years. DH wears shirts that he irons and he quite enjoys it.

He always asks if I have anything that needs ironing. I also say no, but nice to be asked Grin

A household needs one ironer at most. I’m not it.

I would hate to have to choose my clothes based on whether they needed ironing or not. If they happen to not need ironing, great, but it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker.

It's not really a YABU/YANBU issue - just personal preference.

Learn, so you can say you know how, and then never do it again. Works for me :)
