Why is the fact he is at Oxford part of the headline - if he was at the University of East London or doing a college course I bet it would only say student and perhaps not even that.

YANBU but, let’s face it, all news stories are written to sound sensationalist as that’s what most people want to read. It makes it a ‘better’ (i.e. more eye catching) story because he goes to a top uni.
