I've just been inspired by someone's thread on books with a twist, I wanted to recom.end this book but I can't bloody remember it!

It's a sort of romance book but mainly a book about a break up, a woman moves away from her home after an ea breakup, she moves to a racing horse stables to work I think in Ireland, the jockey there is aloof and (spoiler alert) she ends up getting with him, she's hiding from her parents and there's lots of mention of a friend and the twist is something along the lines of she is the friend or she's pretending to be the friend to hide from her ex, he eventually finds her and there's a bit of a show down and she ends up with the stable type guy

I feel like there's the word 'somewhere' or 'someone' in the title Hmm but I can't really remember

I really hope someone can shed some light on this it's driving me mad! Confused

I would say The Kilternan legacy by Anne Mccaffrey, except that i dont remember the love interest being a jockey.

It sounds a bit like The Day We Disappeared by Lucy Robinson.

boatrace30 · 19/01/2018 21:43

Definitely is @nicwish . I've read it recently

I think it's 'The Day I Disappeared' by Lucy Robinson. Was there a horse called Stumpy in it?

Spangles1963 · 20/01/2018 18:37

Ooh sorry just seen your last post and that you've found it. I read it about 18 months ago. Brilliant book. Strangely,I couldn't get into any of her other books.
