DP is STILL upset about the time he had Ben and Jerrys cookie dough ice cream in the freezer and when he came to eat it, I had excavated all the bits of cookie dough out and eaten them. This was over a year ago. I may have been slightly unreasonable. He is now very protective over his ice cream. Blush

So share, in what ways have you been unreasonable in a petty way that is still held against you?

DH is still upset about the time I ate a whole panettone to myself. He thinks that was unreasonable. It was years ago. He reminds me every time we get a panettone that I can't eat it all to myself. More often than not, I eat the whole panettone.

IANBU though.Halo

Singlebutmarried · 18/01/2018 21:51

I ate all the peoperamis out of the fridge, DD went looking for one and I stayed quiet and DH got told off

IANBU

DS20 still hasn't forgiven DH for eating his big bar of Swiss white chocolate which he'd left in the fridge. DH thought it was perfectly reasonable as it wasn't hidden. This happened about ten years ago. DS certainly knows how to hold a grudge Grin

RibenaMonsoon · 18/01/2018 21:57

I'm a babybel fiend. Every time we buy them, they are gone before DH can get a look in. I just love those wheels of cheesy goodness!!

pastabakewithcheese · 18/01/2018 21:59

I always moan about little stuff that I can see will cause a larger mess. So now DH doesn't do anything because "he'll do it wrong anyway"!

Was proved right though when he spilt a drink on the carpet and thought it was only a drop so left it. I noticed a large fruity smelling wet patch 3 days later (yes it was still wet!) in the spot he spilt in and confronted him about it! Of course I was still the one who had to clean it up Envy

I also find holding onto DPs earlobe soothing while we are watching TV. I also like to fiddle with it. DP feels this is highly irritating and IABU. I get The Look when I make a grab for it.

Using someone's ear lobe as a "comforter" is very unreasonable!

Aspieparent · 18/01/2018 22:02

purple my ds holds on to ear lobes and fiddles with them for comfort. He does it to everyone though

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 18/01/2018 22:02

I ate the rest of the box of maltesers. Apparently this was Not On? Confused

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 18/01/2018 22:02

I KNOW I abu every morning I put my alarm on snooze 4 times when DH is off work. Drives him crackers, but I just cannot get up immediately. I cant.

But he is BU to leave his big bloody shoes all over the house!! So I don't care.

leftwiththedognow · 18/01/2018 22:03

My husband puts his actual feet on the new carpet and reads late into the night to shut out the sound of my constant whining.

Passthecake30 · 18/01/2018 22:09

I hide some of the treats from dp so that he doesn't eat them all before the kids get a look in.

I have a special shelf for my goodies.

I do all the shopping, he won't set foot in a shop or contribute to food planning so I am entitled to pick up what I please.

I pin the duvet down at the end of the bed with a tucked in throw to stop dp doubling it up round his shoulders and freezing my feet in the process.

Sarahh2014 · 18/01/2018 22:13

Last week dh brought home a piece of homemade steak pie from his colleagues wife and I ate it all when pissed that night 😁🍷

Clarabumps · 18/01/2018 22:14

I ate two tiers of my wedding cake. Apparently I should have given it to people. It was a rich Christmas cake that I ate a piece of every day until it vanished. It was for guests apparently.

MajesticWhine · 18/01/2018 22:16

I've done some terrible things. I gave away a red rose from boyfriend (now DH) for Valentine's Day (that had wilted) because I was drunk and short of a few quid for a taxi. It was 26 years ago.
I also once told DH I was naturally more intelligent than him. That went well.
More recent unreasonableness includes eating the last fishfinger (apparently he had been planning to)

Bluelady · 18/01/2018 22:17

I drank all the Baileys. To be fair it didn't last long.

juddyrockingcloggs · 18/01/2018 22:19

I am unreasonable this week because I took all the Tupperware to work last week day by day with my lunch in and last night when DH had gone to look for some after he had prepared his lunch (Cous cous and chicken) for his lunch the next day there was no Tupperware for him to put it in so he had to eat it out of a freezer bag.

HariboForBreakfast · 18/01/2018 22:46

I hide peanuts in an empty stuffing box as OH would wolf the lot if he saw them. I can have a handful but he will eat them until they're gone. It's for his own good - at his request!

devilinme · 19/01/2018 10:16

IWU when I ordered my banana split pudding whilst everyone else was still eating their mains.

I told the waiter that was all, just my Banana split.

DP announced my unreasonableness by shouting 'oi, I'm not having that! '

In my defence when there is Banana split on the menu, nothing/no one else exists
