AIBU? Child maintenance application

So today I made an application to CMS to possibly receive an increased amount of maintenance from my ex. I have a 9yo he currently £80 per month. He had our child 10 nights in total last year however his parents do take our child 1 night per week with the exception of the last week of the month. I did attempt to have a conversation with him a few times about him possibly taking our child over more of the school holidays so that I wouldn't need to worry so much trying to find childcare either that or increase maintenance payments however the most recent conversation (1 year ago) ended in his family threatening me so I never broached the subject again. Today I finally found the courage to just go ahead with the application but now I'm worried his family will threaten me again. I don't know if I did the right thing.

How much more will it be through Cms? Either way yes I think you did the right thing.

Doesn't really make a difference anyway was just seeing it if was "worth it" as in if it was an extra tenner for example would it be worth the fall out but your child is entitled to the money so yanbu.

Of course he should pay the right amount but prepared to lose your nights of babysitting if you know this move will upset them.

Yeah im prepared wouldnt affect me other than getting to spend more time with my child 😊
