I have a work equivalent colleague same grade as me, fairly senior public service role.
I work part time he works full time.
My role is extremely practical his is “operational”
He comes in late leaves early and frankly does very little as far as I can see- posting crap on twitter etc
Full disclosure I work far more hours than I am paid for and did ask to increase my hours to be paid for what I do .
He went to my manager and basically said I mismanaged my time and really should manage what was advertised as a full time job in three days.
I was furious about this but have got over it.( or maybe not given this post!,,)However today he tells me he’s applying for compressed hours so will in effect be working four days for full time pay. There is no way he will work the compressed hours
I feel so angry so many people working so hard in our field but he seems to have a sway over senior management
Should I raise my concerns?. It feels like he is actually committing fraud
