As the title says, I just don't trust adverts for anything. So I'm wondering what you would personally recommend; make up, hair stuff, clothes, meal ideas... Anything, just happy for honest suggestions 😊

How do you know none of us work for a company and would be similarly biased in our recommendations?

ragmayo · 16/01/2018 15:11

I dont😂Just going to be (suspiciously) trusting..

I trust lawyers4you and doyouhavePPI.com

I swear by (awaits free sample of anything).

I eat meat. Never trust a veggie.

I recommend wearing clothes and having hair. Clothes from Next, House of Fraser and M&S as life's too short for bothering elsewhere.

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 16/01/2018 15:20

Eh? You want us all to list our favourites meals, make up, clothes and whatever else in case some of them are things you might be interested in? Confused maybe you could just post a thread on the relevant board when you’re after a new purse or meal idea.

You are right to question things, but to not believe them?

Do you think DFS don't actually have a sale on.....

DonnyAndVladSittingInATree · 16/01/2018 15:22

I suspect DFS might have a sale on Wink

etap · 16/01/2018 15:23

I simply adore my McDonald's Quarter-Pounder Cheeseburger Extra Value Meal. I'm loving it!

user1471517900 · 16/01/2018 15:24

Donny - sounds like you're a bit too trusting.

Next you'll start thinking that you can get 2 for 1 at Dominos.

Chienrouge · 16/01/2018 15:26

Err... Costco’s bin bags are really good.
That sort of thing?

ShatnersWig · 16/01/2018 15:28

I bought a pair of tweezers from our local poundshop yesterday. They seem pretty good. Oh, and they were doing 3 cans of Coke for £1 too. They tasted, well, just like Coke.

etap · 16/01/2018 15:29

Just eaten a couple of slices of SOREEN Malt Loaf. Deliciously squidgy energy. One potion, let's sat 52g - quarter of a loaf - is approximately 7% of your daily energy intake. Mmmmmmmmmmm SOREEN.

My belly can confirm that this is true Grin

ShatnersWig · 16/01/2018 15:30

etap You lie, Soreen is VILE.

See, OP, would you buy Soreen because etap likes it or avoid it because I say it's vile?

bemusedSpectator · 16/01/2018 15:35

+1 that Sorren is amazing. Don't ignore Tate & Lyle Gingercake though.

NerrSnerr · 16/01/2018 15:35

My son likes Ella’s Kitchen chicken and rice.
My daughter likes Kinder Eggs
My husband likes Tesco strawberry jam
I like Helen’s Farm goats cheese

These are our recommendations.

MissionItsPossible · 16/01/2018 15:37

Soreen is disgusting!

Areyoufree · 16/01/2018 15:37

I'm a big fan of procrastination.

ragmayo · 16/01/2018 19:00

Loving the sarcasm, always best to have a good dose sleep of that every day😁 The ginger cake sounds amazing! No idea why I've never spotted it. Cheers all, new to this so can't tag

OP posts:
Fekko · 16/01/2018 19:04

I love ginger cake. Why do t the make Jamaica ginger cake in little cake bars (like the revolting Soreen)?

LloydColeandtheCoconuts · 16/01/2018 19:07

I can confirm. Soreen is disgusting.

wonderfullyweird · 16/01/2018 19:16

Doreen is wonderful, I can only imagine that you've never tried it if you think it's not. Sometimes I eat a whole loaf Grin

wonderfullyweird · 16/01/2018 19:16

Soreen not Doreen !

But didn't the ad actually say shhh Doreen is having her Soreen? Or did I make that up ?

dontquotemeondailymail · 16/01/2018 19:20

It's always called Doreen in our house because of that advert! I love it, esp with a thin scrape of butter on it, yum :)

RobinHumphries · 16/01/2018 19:39

I love soreen, golden syrup cake and ginger cake
