Sniffing

Sat next to a man on the train up to London, he sniffed for over an hour. My dilemma was, should I have offered him a clean tissue or would that have caused him embarrassment?

Oh God, I offer sniffers tissues all the time. It drives me crazy but I try to do it with a sympathetic "would you like a tissue?" rather than in any sort of passive aggressive way. I've been caught out without tissues before and I would have loved someone to give me one instead of having to resort to using my sleeve.
