He's round shortly, I'm coming down with something, so I want to show him in and go back to bed Blush

you must have some sort of chair you can sit on

Slartybartfast · 15/01/2018 09:21

you cant go back to bed though,

blackteasplease · 15/01/2018 09:21

Well don't stand over them as that would be weird . Make them a drink as someone said and then slope off elsewhere. As a pp said tell them to shout if they need you.

I would think it was fine to sit on the bed awake as I often sit on my bed doing my work any way. In bed asleep is another matter, don't do that!

Aww Curlsandcurves you just destroyed my dream of being married to a plumber so I would never have to talk about boilers again, because he would deal with all that!

BulletFox · 15/01/2018 14:15

It went well, I garbled something about needing my bed and shot off towards my bedroom when he came in and was so surprised he followed me in I plonked myself on my bed.

He needed to check taps/shower in the bathroom which is off my bedroom.

He was only here 10 mins and quite sympathetic about me feeling below par as his wife is ill at present

I'd have said sofa with a blanket until I saw that your boiler in in the sitting room. That being the case, I think fine to go back to your bedroom but I personally would get right back into bed - I'd be fully dressed (scruffy joggers and jumper instead of pyjamas) and sit on top of the bed with a blanket so I was ready to go straight out if he knocked/called.

He'd probably prefer you to keep your germs as far away as possible anyway Grin

Hope you feel better soon Flowers
