On NYE DP and I had his DS for the weekend (we and DSS's mother alternate years)
It was just going to be the 3 of us but I still went all out and got lots of party food, decorations, party poppers and confetti blasters for the evening.
We had a fantastic night, DSS managed to stay awake until 1.30am 
and from midnight we played music and let off the party poppers and confetti blasters.
The next morning I did a big tidy up and realised although the confetti blasters were AMAZING fun the night before, they are actually a BASTARD to get off the carpets and sofa.
Managed within a couple of days to get it all off the sofa and majority from the carpets, but even now, after lots of hoovering, we have confetti/glittery carpets. Especially the rug in the living room
I know it will all come up eventually and not an issue to me but DP every couple of days says to me 'why did you buy those bloody things?'
So AIBU to have no regrets with buying them and filling the living room with confetti and glitter?
