Cunt/ asshole same insult?

AIBU to think that if I call my husband an asshole and he calls me a cunt the insults are not equal?

I don't like either of them to be frank

Curry is much worse than asshole. We all have an asshole. Only women have cunts. It’s an insult based entirely on being female.

This sounds like a mature relationship.

Insults are subjective. To some people, cunt is a despicable word. To others, it's used casually and almost as a term of endearment among friends.

They're not equal but they are both awful. The equivalent comparison would be c*t and dck, which are again not equal but both awful. C*t is the worst of the lot in my opinion. The others are sometimes used in just - not by me I hasten to add.

Dh and I would call each other an arsehole in a jokey way if we're being silly or winding each other up - cunt is worse imo and wouldn't be used as a joke.
